James Hindmarch
I have spent over 15 years working closely with private clients, helping them manage and protect significant wealth across a wide range of circumstances. That experience taught me the importance of listening, building trust, and creating plans that stand the test of time. Wanting to bring that expertise into a more holistic setting, I chose to transition into financial advice with Lester Brunt Wealth Management, where I can focus on long-term relationships and guiding clients through every stage of their journey. Over my time working with clients, I’ve seen first-hand how clear financial planning can transform people’s lives, not just in their wealth, but in the freedom and confidence it gives them.
I work closely with individuals, families and businesses, guiding them through all aspects of financial planning. My focus is on creating flexible, long-term strategies that can evolve and adapt as circumstances change, giving clients clarity and confidence at every stage of life. Whether a client needs a complete financial roadmap or just help solving a specific problem, my goal is to take away the stress of managing money so they can focus on what matters most.
As a Chartered Wealth Manager, Chartered Fellow of the CISI, STEP Trust and Estate Practitioner and CFA Charterholder, I bring a high level of expertise to my work. Across these qualifications runs a breadth and depth of technical knowledge, covering both portfolio management and estate planning. For my clients, it means confidence that their financial plans are built on a strong foundation of professional standards, technical knowledge and practical experience.

When I’m not working with clients, most of my time is spent with my wife and our two young boys. Whether that’s being on the sidelines of a football match, exploring the New Forest or enjoying the beach near our home, family life keeps me busy and grounded. Outside of family life, I like to stay active and take the chance to travel when I can.
Estate Planning
I find it deeply rewarding to help families think ahead and prepare with clarity. Estate planning is not just about numbers or tax, but about ensuring that what you’ve worked hard for can support the people and causes that matter most, across generations.
Retirement Planning
For many clients, retirement is one of life’s biggest milestones. I enjoy working through the detail to create retirement plans that are flexible, sustainable and clear, giving people the confidence to enjoy the years ahead without financial worry.
Investment Planning
I have always valued the discipline of investment management. My focus is on managing investment plans that are resilient, aligned to personal goals, and easy for clients to understand. Helping someone see how their investments support their broader life plan is one of the most satisfying parts of my role.
Financial Education
I believe financial advice should be empowering, not overwhelming. I take pride in making complex areas simple, so clients feel comfortable, informed and able to make decisions with confidence. For me, those “lightbulb moments” when something suddenly becomes clear are some of the most rewarding conversations I have.
